We will be arriving Sunday afternoon and leaving Saturday afternoon but do to arrival and departure times we may only get 5 admission w/ park hopper. Does the dining plan begin with check in or with the admission?

Hi Sherry! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I love using the various dining plans that are offered as part of a Walt Disney World Resort vacation package! It is so nice to have that piece of my vacation taken care of prior to my visit, so all I have to budget for food-wise is gratuity at the Table-Service restaurants.

The dining plans are added to your Disney resort hotel stay, which means that you must purchase the dining plan for each person on your resort hotel reservation for the entire length of your stay. This also means that the dining plans begin on the day you check in and all of your meal and snack credits can be used until midnight on the day you check out. If you are not planning to visit any of the theme parks on a certain day, you can still choose to use your meal and snack credits outside of the theme parks at locations like Disney Springs, resort hotels and Disney's BoardWalk. My family usually heads to Disney Springs on the day of our arrival to stretch our legs after a long day of travel. It's a great way to begin your vacation and there are a LOT of restaurants, both Quick-Service and Table-Service, to choose from!

I hope this helps answer your question, Sherry. Please come visit us again with any other questions you may have!
