Hi Andrea,
If you purchased tickets to reflect your entire length of stay, I think visiting a park is certainly a possible option. Since you'll be at the Boardwalk, you are just outside the back entrance to Epcot. You may find it enjoyable to stroll about the World Showcase; it will also be a great place to grab a bite to eat for lunch.
However, if your ticket has been purchased so that you can't visit the parks for your entire length of stay, there is plenty to do at Walt Disney World that doesn't involve visiting any of the parks. The
Boardwalk is so fun in the evenings, but you may find it a bit slow during the afternoon. You may find visiting
Downtown Disney during the afternoon then returning to the Boardwalk for the evening a fun way to spend the day.
A few other options are renting a
Sea Raycer to zip around one of the lake at the Walt Disney World property, challenge yourself to a game of
miniature golf, or escape for a
lovely afternoon at the Grand Floridian for tea.
Have a wonderful trip; please let us know if we can help again. Your trip is nearly here!
