Hi Christine!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney with this great question! I'm excited to hear that your upcoming trip is fast approaching! You've picked an amazing resort to call home during your stay!
Disney's Riviera Resort is pure elegance mixed with classic Disney charm that makes it a top pick in my books.
In order to get to the
Magic Kingdom from this resort, you'll either need to utilize Disney's complimentary bus transportation or drive there yourself. Buses begin running about 45 minutes before park opening and will get you there in plenty of time for Early Theme Park Entry. Buses drop you off in front of the Magic Kingdom, so you will not have to walk far to get to the entrance.
When driving your vehicle, you will need to park at the Ticket and Transportation Center when visiting the Magic Kingdom.
Parking lots open about 45-60 minutes prior to the park opening. Again, this will give you plenty of time to arrive in time for Early Theme Park Entry. Once you park, you will need to hop on either the ferryboat or monorail to get to the entrance of the park. This will be an added step, unlike when you travel by bus. Keep this in mind when planning out your day.
Early Theme Park Entry is the perfect way to start off a Magic Kingdom day! It allows you to get a much needed head start on the rest of the Guests visiting that day. You'll be able to hop in line for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train with a minimal wait or fit in a few Fantasyland attractions before the lines start to build.
Christine, I hope you have a magical time during your upcoming visit!
