We are arriving 12/6 & staying at AOA. We have a 12 reserve for Fantastic Dining VIP meal that day. How early can we get our tickets at the resort knowing we can't ck in until 3? Also how much time should be allow to get to HS from AOA?

    Hi Sandra,

Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel with your question!

You are going to love the Art of Animation resort. Disney has above and beyond in decorating the different areas of the resort to represent the films Finding Nemo, Cars, The Lion King and The Little Mermaid.

Even if your room isn't ready until the 3 p.m. check-in time, you are welcome to arrive as early as you like that day to pick up your tickets, drop your luggage and head out to the theme parks. The resort will even give you the key to your room and then text you the room number when it is ready.

I recommend doing online check-in in advance to speed the arrival process and to let the resort know approximately what time you will arrive. On several occasions, I have arrived early to find that my room  was waiting for me. There's no guarantee, of course, but it is nice when that happens.

Hollywood Studios is the closest theme park to Art of Animation. The bus ride shouldn't take more than about 10 minutes. But I would plan to be at the bus stop in front of Animation Hall by about 11 for your noon reservation, just to give yourself plenty of time to wait for the bus, enter the park and make your way to the restaurant without feeling rushed.

I hope that helps. Please let me know if I can answer any other questions for you as you plan our visit. Enjoy!
