Welcome to planDisney, Kevin, and happy holidays!
I'm so excited to hear that you'll be spending Christmas at the Most Magical Place on Earth. There is nothing like sprinkling a little holiday pixie dust over your vacation! If you are a foodie, make sure to
check out all of the themed snacks and treats that will be available during your visit (many can be found at select
Disney Resort Hotels).
Now, Kevin, in addition to checking out the snacks on your arrival day, let's talk about what you can do before your room is ready. I'm happy to share that you are welcome to enjoy the pool. If you complete the
online check-in, you will get an alert when your room is ready for you.
In my experience, the temperatures in December in Florida can fluctuate by a large margin. One year, my family was splashing around in the pool and another year we were bundled up with coats. In case you experience a cooler Christmas day and you don't go for a swim,
Disney Springs is a great option for your arrival day. My family and I love to walk around, shop, and grab cookies at
Gideon's Bakehouse. You'll find complimentary transportation to and from Disney Springs right at your resort.
Kevin, no matter how you spend your first day, I hope it will be the start of a Magical visit. Please come on back with any other questions you might have.
