We are arriving on 1/5 and spending 5 days in the park 1/6-10 and checking out on 1/11. We plan to do the dining plan. My question is, when we check in on 1/5 do we have to use the dining plan or can it just be attached to when we visit the parks?

    Hey there, Melissa!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'm so glad that you stopped by with a question for us. It sounds like you've got a very exciting Walt Disney World Resort vacation planned, and I'm sure you are looking forward to it!

I absolutely love the convenience of having a Disney Dining Plan for my family's trip, so I hope you will too. It's so nice to know that our meals are paid for in advance and that there are so many options for dining experiences. And the best news is that you can use your dining credits any way that you would like! So it looks like you are planning to spend six nights at a Disney Resort Hotel which means you would have six days worth of dining credits. All of those credits will be loaded into your account on the day that you check-in and are valid up until midnight of your check-out date. And you can use them any way that you would like within those days. Want five snacks on your first day? Go right ahead! Want three table-service meals in the same day? Go right ahead! It's up to you how you plan to use your credits. Just be sure that you use them all by the last day so you won't miss out on any of your credits.

I hope this helps with your planning, Melissa and if we can do anything else to make your trip a little more magical, just let us know. Enjoy your visit and make lots of fun memories!
