Arriving with my D12 and Son 8 to WDW June 11th. Doing a split reservation and therefore can do 2 sets of Magic bands. Should we do both or one? Worried it might complicate or make one invalid? Also, just booked what'd the next step in planning?

    Hi Patti,

I have to tell you, I consider myself the Queen of the split stay! We experience more than one Walt Disney World Resort hotel on almost every vacation. It's like having two vacations in one!

While I normally opt to recycle additional MagicBands, this is one circumstance where it can be more convenient to have two sets. If you are planning to complete Online Check-in before arrival and would like the option to go directly to your room once you receive the magical room-ready text message, a second MagicBand will be helpful. Otherwise, you will probably receive a text and an email requesting that you visit the Check-in desk. This is to reprogram your MagicBand so that it can unlock your room door. This is not terribly time consuming, but can mean an extra stop for you if you are staying in one of the larger Resort hotels. A second MagicBand is also helpful if you have added the Disney Dining Plan to your reservation.

It is time to consider your dining plans. Advance Dining Reservations are accepted for most Table Service locations, and they are highly recommended. I repeat: they are highly recommended. If there are particular restaurants that you consider must-visit, then please schedule those as soon as possible.

You are within the 60-Day window to reserve your access to your most anticipated attractions with FastPass+. Chose up to three attractions per day before your arrival. After you have used your three FastPass+ reservations, you can schedule another from the My Disney Experience Mobile App or from a kiosk in any theme park. Continue using and scheduling for the remainder of the night. It's great!

Please let us know how we can help as you continue planning, Patti!

    Wishing you many magical memories,
