We are arriving at our resort at on Wednesday at about 8 pm. Do we have time to get to a park and enjoy that wow moment right away or should be save it until the next day and visit Downtown Disney. We are traveling with a 5 year old.

    Hi Erik!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel!  With a young child, I suggest not trying to go to the parks after you arrive but instead to take it easy.  That's because you will want to get up early the next day and be at the parks about 30 minutes before park opening.  That's because you can really experience a lot of attractions in the first two hours a park is open;  a lot of guests like to sleep in and they won't get to the parks until mid-day or later!

So I suggest planning on exploring your hotel the night you arrive and getting to bed early for a full day the next day.  If you think people will be too excited to sleep, then going to Downtown Disney is a good idea!

I hope you have a magical time on your vacation!
