Arriving 4/10/26 promptly after our morning wedding to begin our honeymoon. As we'll will be in our wedding attire we would like our room ready asap, should we use the online check in or check in at hotel desk? And is there a way to note this?

Hi there, Hailley, and welcome back to planDisney!

I can’t believe that it’s almost time for your honeymoon; I’m so happy to see that a planDisney panelist has been there for you throughout the entire planning journey. Thanks for stopping by to ask your question: Online check-in or in-person check-in? A debate that is (almost) as old as time. Please be my guest as I share my thoughts with you.

First of all, as panelist Rayna mentioned to you, you can 100% wear your wedding attire when you arrive at your hotel. Talk about a grand entrance! As dreamy as walking around in your wedding attire is, I really hope that the Disney Cast Members are able to get your room ready as soon as possible so that you can get into something more comfortable.

The online My Disney Experience app check-in process starts as early as 60 days out, which means that you are now in that window. I personally prefer to do online check-in so that I can bypass the front desk entirely and go directly to my room. However, even if you request an earlier check-in time in the app (earliest time you can select is "Before 3:00 P.M."), it still may not be ready at that time. The earliest I've ever gotten lucky to get is around 12:30 p.m. But most of my "Your Room is Ready" texts come in much closer to the listed official check-in time, which is 3 p.m. EST for non-DVC rooms.

So, what can you do? The first step would be to actually call the Hotel Reservations hotline about a week or so before your arrival date and let them know why you'd like to have an early check-in. They may be able to take note of your request. But, remember, nothing is guaranteed. Then, on your arrival date, visit the hotel desk to inquire if your room is ready. (And you can pick up cute "Just Married" celebration buttons that you can wear around property for some extra pixie dust.) If your room is not ready, you know that you can at least store your bags with the complimentary Bell Services

Hailley, a big, early congratulations to you and your soon-to-be spouse! It’s so amazing that you get to begin this new chapter of love together at The Most Magical Place on Earth. As always, please revisit us at planDisney if you have any additional Disney vacation planning questions. See you real soon!

    Magic always,
