We will be arriving at POR on 12/25/2013 for our first family trip to WDW. I heard that we can use our magic bands to make purchases while at the parks. Do we need to have a credit card on file at the resort to this?

Hi Pamela,

What a great time to arrive at Walt Disney World, I can't think of a more magical way to spend Christmas! Currently, guests testing the new MagicBands are able to use them for purchases throughout Walt Disney World Resort. In order to do so, you will need to leave a credit card on file upon check in. Your credit card will then be linked to your Magic Bands and for added security you will be required to create a PIN (personal identification number) and enter your PIN when making purchases throughout Walt Disney World Resort. My family and I love this option because we don't need to worry about bringing cash with us everyday and it means less for us to carry in the Theme Parks!
