We are arriving at the parks directly from the airport at approx 12:00 PM. We will have carryon size luggage and I am worried that the larger lockers on the esplanade will be sold out. Any suggestions? We are staying off property.

    Hello, Tracy!

Thanks for reaching out to planDisney. Just like you, I love dashing to the theme parks the moment I arrive in the area! It's hard to wait for the fun to begin!

Bringing luggage with you to Disneyland Resort can definitely be a bit tricky, as you can imagine. All bags have to go through security before you can head toward the parks, and large lockers aren’t always guaranteed to be available.

Assuming you are staying in a hotel, I highly recommend stopping there first to drop off your bags. Give them a quick call to confirm, but in my experience, most hotels are happy to store luggage on check‑in day. If you’re staying at a vacation rental, the owners may also allow early luggage drop‑off. I’ve done this a couple of times, as they’re usually eager to help make things easier for their Guests. Once your bags are taken care of, you can hop in a ride‑share and head to the parks without any extra stress.

If dropping off your luggage isn’t an option, you might want to search online for luggage‑storage services near Disneyland. I think some are within walking distance, so you could get dropped off there first and then stroll over to start your day of magic!

It looks like you’ll be arriving on the very last day of one of my favorite Disneyland events, the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival! Running through April 27, 2026, this delicious celebration is the perfect way to kick off your trip with plenty of tasty bites and sips. I suggest trying both the Sirloin Gruyere Mac & Cheese and the Carbonara Pizzetta, and you can’t go wrong ending with the Mickey‑shaped Macaron made with SNICKERS bar pieces. Absolutely delightful!

You might also consider purchasing a Sip and Savor Pass if you’re planning to sample several items. It’s a great way to maximize your value and try a variety of dishes! Just be sure to use all of your digital coupons on that day, since they’re only valid during the festival.

Tracy, I'm sorry that I don't have more luggage storage options for you, but I hope one of these ideas works out. Feel free to contact planDisney again if you have more questions!
