Howdy, Chris! Thanks for bringing your
parking question to us here at planDisney. One of the
benefits of being a Disney Resort hotel guest is complimentary standard parking at the theme parks for the duration of your visit. This includes your check-in day even prior to arriving at your hotel, so let me explain the process you'll go through when you arrive at the parking lot.
I can relate to wanting to get the party started before checking in to the hotel, and many guests have done exactly what you are aiming to do on your arrival day. When you enter the parking lot and pull up to the Cast Member, just let them know you are a registered hotel guest and will be checking in later that day. They may ask to see a photo ID and your resort reservation. You can see your reservation details in the
My Disney Experience app by tapping on the "My Resort" card on the homepage, or tapping the hamburger menu (☰) and selecting "Hotel Reservations." They will admit you into the lot once they have verified your stay.
I'm glad to hear you'll be using other forms of transportation during your visit. I am a big fan of a
boat cruise to nowhere at Disney Springs or across Seven Seas Lagoon, and I also enjoy a
monorail or
Skyliner snack crawl. There is so much to see and do at Disney World, and they really make getting around a breeze with the various forms of transportation.
