We are arriving in Orlando at 1:20 pm. We have reservations at Ohana at 5:30. Will we have any ttrouble making that reservation?

    Hi Harry,

I generally like to have at least a three hour buffer between landing in Orlando and our first scheduled activity.  You've given yourself four hours, so I think you should be fine -- assuming, of course, that your flight to Orlando isn't delayed.

I recommend checking in online.  You can do this up to 10 days prior to arrival.  From my experience, it really does expedite the whole check in procedure and get you to your room much quicker.

Keep in mind that your bags may not arrive at your resort room before you leave for your reservation.  Make sure you have everything you may need in your carry-on.

I'm not sure which resort you are staying at.  That sometimes can extend your travel time.  I recommend taking the bus to the Magic Kingdom and then hopping on the monorail to reach the Polynesian.  Of course, if you are staying at a monorail resort, then your commute will be even quicker.

If you find yourself with limited time, remember that a cast member at your resort can always call a cab to transport you directly there -- an additional fee applies.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
