Arriving in Orlando in June. Was hoping to get the plastic and not paper tickets for admission ( staying off site). If I order online, is the plastic ticket an option. Much more convenient as 7 day of paper can get ruined! Thanks

    Hi Nancy!

June will be here before you know it! I don't know about you, but I always have a countdown running that lets me know how many weeks/days before my next trip to Walt Disney World. (It helps me keep my eye on the prize!)

You asked a great question about the tickets. It's been my experience that the theme park tickets are typically offered in the paper format when being sold as a stand-alone product. When they're combined with a resort room key and charging privileges (a guest's "Key to the World"), then they're typically offered in the plastic card format.

I will say that policies and practices like this one are always subject to change, so there's a slight chance you might get your tickets sent to you in the plastic card format. You never know!

Here's a little tip from your buddy Derek:

Take pictures of the backs of your tickets so you can clearly see the ID numbers. In the event your tickets get lost or severely damaged, you can go to one of the Guest Relations offices with a photo ID and they can issue replacement tickets.

For many years, I had annual passes that were in the "paper" format and they held up fine over a year's worth of wear and tear. I've heard that they're actually made of a composite material that's similar to the products used to seal the outside wall panels of houses. Cool stuff!

I hope that helps! If you should have any other questions, please feel free to let me know and I'll be happy to help in any way that I can.

    Best regards,
    Derek
