Arriving in Orlando Dec. 4th in the early afternoon. We are staying at Pop Century and will be using Disney Transportation. We would like to visit the Boardwalk the evening we arrive. How do we get there and back? Our first trip.

Hi Peggy!  Pop Century is a great value resort and my favorite!  It is exciting to know you will be at Walt Disney World for some of the holiday excitement and events this year!

You have two choices to reach the Boardwalk area from Pop Century.  You can catch a bus at your resort to either Hollywood Studios or EPCOT. The Studios are open that night until 8pm so you would need to head in that direction before closing. Once you arrive look for the boat launch to the right of the entrance and hop on the boat which will take you over to Boardwalk after a couple of stops.

Your other choice would be to catch the EPCOT bus.  You will then need to walk through the park to the International Gateway which means you would need to use a park ticket. This is not optimum if you don't hold an annual pass as I would hate for anyone to use a ticket just to walk from one end of the park to the other.  If you do choose this way then you would exit at the International Gateway which is located between United Kingdom and France in the World Showcase.  It is a five minute walk across the bridge once you exit.

Your return to Pop Century resort is easiest to catch the bus to Downtown Disney which runs quite late. You would then transfer to a Pop Century bus at any of the bus locations there.  Of course if you are really tired I can always suggest grabbing a taxi right at the Boardwalk resort. This would take only about 10 minutes and should cost under $15.

While in the Boardwalk area be sure and stop in at Jellyrolls if you can...the dueling pianos are amazing!
