Hi Stephen, and welcome to planDisney! It sounds like you’ll be dodging Stormtroopers and drinking
blue milk in just a few more days. So let’s chat about getting your kids set up to make their very own custom astromech units!
Currently, guests from the U.K. and Ireland aren’t able to book
Enchanting Extras, like
Droid Depot, through the Disney World website until they’re in the U.S. (and have access to the U.S. version of the website). Some experiences, like Fireworks Cruises, can be booked through the Chat With Us feature in the
My Disney Experience app or by
calling on the phone. So you might give that a try. But if that’s not available for Droid Depot, you can book spots on the Disney World website once you get to the U.S. on May 3rd. Although availability is always changing, there are currently many time slots available for the next few days, including May 7th.
Before I go, there are a few tips I wanted to share to help your kids live out their best Star Wars adventure! When they’re making their droids, I recommend they take their time choosing parts from the conveyor belt. Once they move on to the assembly stage, the rest of the building process goes pretty quickly. The Droid Depot workshop is really cool, so definitely savor your time in there!
When your kids are done making their droids, look for the area with mats on the ground across from Droid Depot (there’s also typically a Cast Member standing there). My family loved using that spot to safely give our droids a spin on the ground!
And finally, don’t forget to look for the
PhotoPass photographers around Batuu so you can get plenty of pictures of your kids with their new droid buddies! My favorite spot is the
Super Zoom Magic Shot location near
Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo. It's a really unique photo!
I’m wishing your family a magical vacation at Disney World next week! And if you have any other questions, don’t hesitate to visit us again at planDisney.
