we are arriving oct 19th 10:ooam.My daughters 7th bday is the 20th.We are trying to decide what to do first day.Relax and go to downtown disney or go to character dinner.I really wanted to do chef mickey for the night of her birthday.

With your early morning arrival, you should have time to Check In to your hotel and then take a bus over to Downtown Disney for the afternoon. If you decide to relax by the pool for a few hours, then you can head to Downtown Disney around dinner time to enjoy a meal at the Rainforest Café.

Another wonderful first night adventure would be to dine at the Grand Floridian’s 1900 Park Fare with Cinderella. You could spend the day pool-side or shopping at Downtown Disney. If you spent the afternoon relaxing, you could venture to Downtown Disney after your meal.

    So many options!

I would just take in to account how much time you’ll need to rest after traveling. WDW can be an exhausting vacation if you forget to pace yourselves. Don’t try to see and do everything. Instead slow down and truly enjoy the activities that you do choose to share with your family. Happy Birthday to your daughter!
