Arriving in Nov staying @ PO FR but going to Downtown Disney the 1st day can you please tell us the best way to travel from DTD to Blizzard Beach area (hoping to take the kids 4 a round or 2 of minature golf)? Thanks you guys are great love all the tips!!

    Hi Jonine,

Miniature golf is a family favorite of ours, especially at Winter/Summerland!  What a great way to begin your first day at Walt Disney World, and it likely start to get you thinking about the holidays just around the corner.  To get to the miniature golf course from Downtown Disney, you'll need to go to a resort first then transfer to a Blizzard Beach bus. A few ways to do this is by taking a boat to Saratoga Springs then transferring to a bus.  You can also walk to Saratoga Springs from Downtown Disney, too.

We also sometimes just go to the bus stop knowing we are looking for several buses and take whichever one shows up first.  The resorts that are close to Blizzard Beach are the Animal Kingdom Lodge, Coronado Springs, or the All Star Resorts.

And if you'd like to simplify the entire process, you can certainly take a taxi!

Have a wonderful trip. Please let us know if we can help again!
