Hi Farrah,
Welcome back to the Moms Panel. Although you'd probably receive different answers if you polled us all, I'm a Magic Kingdom gal, through and through. Traditionally, I love beginning and ending our vacations with a trip to Cinderella Castle. In my experience, Fantasmic! might be better saved for a midweek viewing considering your children's ages. The show can be overstimulating and travel day is always so tiresome for children (and Mom!).
If you're arriving at noon, I'd settle into your room (if it's ready), freshen up and head out to Magic Kingdom. Celebrate a Dream Come True Parade occurs at 3:00 p.m. and perhaps booking an Advanced Dining Reservation at
Chef Mickey's afterwards would be the perfect Character Dining experience for your Mouseketeer's magical first day!
Wishes nighttime spectacular at Magic Kingdom will provide just the right amount of pixie dust to end your practically-perfect arrival day. You'll be fully immersed in the magic of Disney and your children will revel in the sights and sounds of this truly awesome spectacle of fireworks!
My last piece of advice is to keep your plans loose on arrival day. Many families choose not to book a dining reservation on day 1 so as to allow the day to flow at an easy pace. There are several quick service locations to dine at Magic Kingdom and you may not want to worry about punching a clock.
Whatever you choose, Farrah, I'm sure your trip will be wonderful!
