Hello! We are arriving for a 7 night stay at Port Orleans Riverside in August and want to take the kids to one of the waterparks this time. I heard that there are no longer buses that take you from the hotel to the waterpark. What is our best option?

    Hello, Scott!

Disney Bus Transportation will still take you from a Disney Resort to one of the Disney Water Parks; however, it is no longer a direct route.

To travel from a Disney Resort to Disney's Typhoon Lagoon, you will need to take a bus marked Disney Springs/Disney's Typhoon Lagoon.  When you leave from your resort, the first stop will be Disney's Typhoon Lagoon. If you leave the water park before 1:00 pm, your bus will first stop at Disney Springs and then back to your Disney resort.  If you leave Disney's Typhoon Lagoon after 1:00 pm, a bus will take you over to Disney Springs where you will transfer to a Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside bus.

To travel from a Disney Resort to Disney's Blizzard Beach, you will need to take a bus marked Disney's Animal Kingdom/Blizzard Beach.  When you leave from your resort, your stop will be Disney's Animal Kingdom.  From there, you will take a bus to Blizzard Beach.  When you leave Disney's Blizzard Beach, you will take a bus back to Disney's Animal Kingdom and then transfer to a Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside bus.

DISNEY TIP:  Verify with your bus driver before loading the bus to make sure the bus will be going to a water park. A few weeks ago, the bus driver told us that his bus was only going to Disney Springs and to wait for the next bus to Disney's Typhoon Lagoon.  When in doubt, always ask questions!

    Have a MAGICAL day!

    Wes
