Hi. Arriving next week for our first trip to disney world. I have mine and my 2 daughters tickets stored as passes on my phone. On entry to the park for the first time do I select the pass for each child in turn from the wallet fingerprints are scanned

Welcome to planDisney Rob! I’m so glad you stopped by with your question about entering the parks with Disney MagicMobile passes. Your first visit to Walt Disney World is such a special milestone, and I’m excited to help you understand exactly how to use your phone and your family’s tickets at the entry touchpoints so that your arrival goes smoothly and you can begin enjoying the magic right away.

When you arrive at the park entrance, you will go to the touchpoint where the Mickey head is located. Since you have your tickets stored as Disney MagicMobile passes on your phone, you will use your device to tap each pass in turn. You can bring up the first pass on your phone and hold it near the touchpoint until it lights up and turns green. After that is complete, you can swipe to the next pass and repeat the process for each of your daughters.

For children under the age of ten, once you scan the pass a parent's fingerprint will be taken. If your older daughter is ten or older, she will be asked to place her finger on the scanner the very first time she enters the park. This is how Disney links her ticket to her fingerprint for the rest of the trip, which prevents anyone else from using the pass. Once that first fingerprint is recorded, she will use the same finger each time she enters a park. Adults will also be asked to scan a finger the first time they enter.

From then on, entering and re-entering works the same way. When you return later in the day or if you are hopping to another park, you will once again hold your phone to the touchpoint and select each pass in turn. The passes stay in your phone’s wallet for the entire trip, and the process is the same each time. Cast Members are always at the entrance and can help if you are uncertain or if something does not scan correctly.

Rob, I hope this helps you get everything set up for your magical adventure at Walt Disney World Resort! Thank you for visiting planDisney, and have a pixie dusted day!
