We are arriving next week. We are bringing our 6 week old. I am nursing and was wondering if it is appropriate for me to nurse her around the parks other than in the baby care centers. I would drape myself appropriately. I do not want to offend anybody.

    Hi Laura,

Congratulations on the arrival of your new daughter!  What an exciting time this must be for your family!

If you have been breastfeeding for six weeks, you probably already know that there are mixed opinions in the real world about public breastfeeding.  While the majority of folks are comfortable in the presence of discreet breastfeeding mothers, you may occasionally come across a person who is not comfortable with the situation.  You can be certain that Cast Members (Disney employees) will not be offended by an appropriately draped breastfeeding mom.  However, we can't say for sure how all other guests will respond.  One of the many things I love about Walt Disney World, though, is that there are quiet little nooks and crannies all throughout the parks.  If you find a nice quiet, secluded place to feed your little one, it's hard for me to imagine that anyone would be offended.

Wishing your daughter a truly magical first trip to Walt Disney World!  Have a magical time, Laura, and be sure to take plenty of pictures to commemorate this special occasion.
