Hi Jill,
Welcome to planDisney! It's great to chat with a fellow Disney Vacation Club Member, thanks for visiting planDisney with your question about
The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. I'm so excited to check out the all-new Cabins decked out with the modern comforts of home; my family is counting down the days until our stay! My kids are most excited about sleeping in the bunk beds and checking out
Chip 'n' Dale's Campfire Sing-A-Long where they plan to make some delicious s'mores.
The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort sits on 750 acres of cypress and pine forest and is the perfect woodland hideaway. Guests can take the internal bus to the Settlement and walk to the ferries that will travel to locations such as
Magic Kingdom Park and other resorts such as
Disney's Wilderness Lodge. The bus also goes to the Outpost where Guests can catch another bus to go to the other theme parks and
Disney Springs.
Jill, I spoke with a helpful Cast Member and confirmed that your friend can easily drop you off or pick you up at your Cabin. They just need to provide your name and Cabin number to the Security team at the entrance gate. To make things even smoother, I recommend letting the Front Desk know you'll be expecting a Guest for pickup on your departure day.
I hope this helps with your vacation planning! I always feel more relaxed once the logistics are sorted out. Wishing you a magical springtime getaway at the Most Magical Place on Earth! Don’t hesitate to revisit us at
planDisney if you have any more questions as your trip approaches.
See ya real soon,
Candace
