We are arriving 6/22 and need to know what to make reservations for in advance and what to make reservations for the day of the visit. We are going to Hollywood Studios for mostly Star Wars but will want to make the most of the reset ofthe park as well.

    Hi Lloyd,

We are so glad to see you stopping by planDisney! It sounds like you may not have any reservations yet. Now, all Guests need Disney Park Pass system reservations to enter a theme park. In looking at the theme park reservation availability calendar for your arrival date, EPCOT is the only park showing park pass availability. If you have not already booked a vacation package with a resort hotel and theme park tickets I strongly suggest that you do so now.

You could purchase theme park tickets with the Park Hopper® Option. With Park Hopper tickets, you could start at EPCOT and potentially visit another theme park each afternoon. With tickets that allow you to park hop, the ability to park hop depends on park crowds and capacity at the time of your visit. You may not be able to park hop to another park if it is at capacity. So, think carefully before purchasing tickets with the Park Hopper® Option.

If possible, I would consider changing the dates of your trip. There is more park pass availability in July. If you cannot change your dates, you need a plan. My family always plans a half day or full day of relaxation at the resort hotel. We eat breakfast at the resort hotel and then spend time at the pool. So, pick at least one day of relaxation and then continue to plan the rest of your days.

Of course, availability could change at any moment, so keep checking the availability calendar. Also always try to make park pass reservations even if the availability calendar does not show any availability. I scored a park pass reservation one day when it looked like park pass availability for Magic Kingdom was non-existent. Cancellations can happen at any time and you may find availability before the availability calendar has updated.

If you do not have a My Disney Experience account, you will need to create one. Then purchase your theme park tickets and link them in your account. Once those tickets are linked, you can make park pass reservations. Be sure that everyone traveling with you is linked in your My Family & Friends List

Lloyd, since you plan to visit Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, be sure to reserve a spot for Savi's Workshop and Droid Depot, I highly recommend reviewing the virtual queue process for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.

Lloyd, take courage. It is clear that you are skilled in the ways of the force. We anxiously await your arrival!

    Magic and memories,
