We are arriving in the morning of 8/9. Can we check in on-line, leave our luggage at the hotel and enjoy the day at the park or do we have to wait to check in? I bought park tickets for that day already hoping that was the case. We stay at the All Stars

    Hi Emily!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel!

You can check-in online before you even leave home!  I actually recommend that all guests do that.  That will speed up the check-in process when you get to your Disney owned and operated hotel; almost all have two lines for check-in:  one for guests who checked in online and for those who didn't.

You don't have to check-in to leave your luggage with Bell Services.  You can just walk up and tell them you are staying at the resort and drop your luggage off.  Then later you can retrieve them yourself in the lobby or ask Bell Services to deliver them to your room.

About the only thing you will be missing is your Key to the World card.  It's not a big deal on your first day except that means you won't have access to Extra Magic Hours.  You have to have that card to show to the Cast Member.  So as long as you aren't planning to use Extra Magic Hours until after you check-in at the hotel, you will be fine!

Enjoy planning your magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation, and please write back with more questions!
