Arriving Monday, June 11; staying at Ft. Wildness. Am aware there are swimming pools at Ft. Wilderness, but have been told that when you stay on any Disney property, you have access to any pool at any Disney property. Is this correct? Thank you.

Howdy Mary Jane!  I must admit that I'm a bit jealous to hear that you'll be staying at Fort Wilderness on your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation!  You're gonna LOVE it!

Unfortunately pool-hopping between the resorts is not allowed and guests are retracted to using the pools at the resort at which they are registered.  At Fort WIlderness, there are two pool areas for guests to choose from.  If you're staying in the "Cabins" the closest pool is the appropriately named Wilderness Pool. This pool is a little more basic, so if you're looking for a Disneyfied themed pool area, I suggest using the Meadow Swimming Pool, the resort's main pool area which is located behind Meadows Trading Post near the center of the property.

Meadow Swimming Pool area features a large main pool with a themed water slide, a shallow kiddie wading pool, a hot tub, and a splash fountain area.  In addition, the fun folks at Disney recreation are sure to have lots of fun games, music, and activities up there sleeves to keep guests of all ages entertained pool-side!

    Best Wishes,
