We are arriving on Monday and have booked a woods view room at the Wilderness Lodge. Is it too late for me to make a room request? If not, who do I call and what is the best woods view rooms? Ideally, I'd love to be able to see some of the magic! Thanks!

    Hi Natashia,

Wow how exciting you are leaving for your trip so soon!  You must be thrilled!

I think that you can go ahead and make a request now if you like.  Remember that all requests are just that - requests - and that while Disney will do their best to honor them, they cannot be guaranteed.  As long as you know that, I would say go ahead and make the request.  This close to your vacation, to make a request you should call Disney's Wilderness Lodge at 407-824-3200 and speak with a cast member there.

For the best chance at seeing a glimpse of Magic Kingdom from your room, you probably want to request a room on a high floor, likely on the north side of the resort facing northwest.  Please know that the woods view rooms are mainly of woods, so no matter where you are, there will be woods in your view.  There is a post on the unofficial site disboards.com which includes photos with views from some of the rooms at Disney's Wilderness Lodge.  To find it, visit their website and search for "Wilderness Lodge Room Locations."  The first result should be a discussion thread on Disney's Wilderness Lodge.  From this thread, there is a link to "Bookable Room Views," which will show some photos as well as some description of the views from the rooms.

I have also found when I check in at a Walt Disney World resort that if I would prefer a room other than the one assigned to me, that if I ask, sometimes if I am willing to wait a little longer for my room to be ready, one that more closely matches my requests will become available.

    Have a wonderful trip, Natashia!
