Arriving in MK right at 3pm. If I use genie+ will that guarantee a good view of the parade even though we wouldn't make it to the viewing spot until after 3pm?

Away we go, Christina, and welcome to planDisney where dreams glow wondrously! You'll arrive at the Most Magical Place on Earth in a heartbeat, so I hope you're packed and ready for an adventure. It sounds like you want to kick off your vacation by experiencing the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade, so let's look at how Disney Genie+ service can help you secure a prime viewing spot.

As you know, you can purchase Disney Genie+ service from anywhere on the morning of your visit. I typically buy it from the coziness of my Disney Resort Hotel bed! You can make selections every two hours or once you've scanned in for the most recent selection, whichever comes first. It sounds like the parade is a must-do, and the viewing area for guests holding Lightning Lane entry is fabulous. Cinderella Castle will stand majestically in the background, so your photos will be phenomenal. I'm getting chills just thinking about it!

Once you've booked a Lightning Lane entry for the 3:00 PM parade, you're all set for a guaranteed spot in the roped-off viewing area in the hub in front of the castle. But remember, timing is key. Many guests will be sharing that space, and there's no seating. I've seen people start gathering in that area around 2:15 PM to secure a good spot within the ropes. If you arrive around 3:05, you might have to jostle for a good view. Just so you know, the parade typically goes by the castle around 3:10 PM.

Most attractions have a 15-minute grace period beyond the Lightning Lane return window to accommodate guests who might be running late. My tip is to screenshot your plans in your mobile app in case your parade Lightning Lane disappears after 3:15 PM.

After the hustle and bustle of enjoying the parade, you might like some refreshments and quiet time. I love to mobile order the Frozen Mint Julep Lemonade from Casey's Corner and take it to the shaded picnic tables behind Ye Old Christmas Shoppe. It's a great spot to take a deep breath and recharge...before heading back out into the theme park at full speed!

Christina, your visit will be wondrous, dazzling, and brilliant! Please stop by planDisney anytime.

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
