Hi Scott! Congratulations on your first trip to Walt Disney World - it's going to be Magical! Looks like you've taken care of all the important things like the
Disney Dining Plan and your park tickets so "fun" money is all that's let to account for. You'll want to buy a special gift to commemorate this first magical trip. What you choose to purchase of course will be an individual choice so it's hard to say exactly how much money you'll need. For our family, we give ourselves a budget of about $300 to have just fun with. In addition I give my 2 older kids 9 and 7 years old a $25
Disney Gift Card for them to spend as they like. They love the feeling of independence and I love that it's accepted everywhere even when we're back at home! In fact they love it so much they want the limit increased to $50...we'll have to see about that.
Not having to worry about buying food is so convenient and an incredible savings, but keep in mind you're responsible for gratuity at table service/seated dining with the Disney Dining Plan, so be sure to budget for that too.
I'm so excited for you and your family, there's nothing like the first trip to the most magical place on the planet! Oh almost forgot, be sure to let your resort know it's your first visit, they'll have a special button just for that. I can't wait to hear all about your dream vacation!
