Hi Tara! Welcome back to planDisney!
Thanks for bringing another excellent question to us! I am happy to offer some suggestions for your upcoming visit with your family. You are going to have so much fun exploring all that the Most Magical Place on Earth has to offer
this spring!
When I visited the Walt Disney World Resort less than a month ago, the theme parks were completely out of
Disney Park Pass reservations by the time our trip arrived, so I put a plan in place to help make things easier on us. First, we arrived at the theme parks early, about an hour (sometimes a little more) before they opened. This allowed us to be among the first people in the theme parks and we headed straight to the most popular attractions first. With the theme parks opening early on most days to avoid too much crowd congestion at the entrance, we were able to get in two or three of the most popular rides before the parks officially opened! This cut our wait times down in a huge way.
The next thing we did was make sure to hit everyone's favorite
attractions. We wanted to make sure we didn't miss out on anyone's must-do rides. It helped to have multiple days in a couple of the theme parks so if we missed anything the first day, we knew to make sure to get it in early the next day we were there.
While we were waiting in queue lines, we used the time to browse Quick-Service restaurant menus via the
My Disney Experience mobile app to decide where we wanted to eat and what everyone would order. Then, when we were hungry, I would place our mobile order and head straight to the dining location to minimize our wait time.
Lastly, we discussed with the whole family ahead of time that there would be a lot of people and we would have to wait in lines, but that it was okay! We would rather be waiting in line at our happy place than sitting around at home any day. Everyone was in the right frame of mind and had a great attitude!
I hope you have the BEST vacation, Tara! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
