Hi, we will be arriving later in the day (after 3pm) on Friday June 8th for a four night stay GF. This is our first trip to WDW and we were wondering what we could do outside of the parks that evening, reserving our park passes when we can spend the day.

    Hello, Emily!

So glad you're making your first trip to Walt Disney World! It's sure to be magical!

You have a great idea here, too; saving your park passes for full days of fun will ensure that you get the most out of them. With that in mind, you could any combination of the following:

Relax and dine at your hotel, Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.  You can enjoy some time at the pool or the beach of Seven Seas Lagoon and then head to one of many great dining locations right inside GF.

Weather permitting, there will be a Disney movie shown "under the stars" at night as well; just review the schedule you'll receive at Check-In to find out location, time and title.   You can also view Magic Kingdom's evening fireworks from the beach, as well as the Electrical Water Pageant.  On June 8th, 2012, Wishes Nighttime Spectacular is scheduled for 10 p.m.; most nights, you'll be able to view the Electrical Water Pageant at the Grand Floridian at around 9:15 (weather permitting.)

Another great venue (which doesn't require a ticket) is Downtown Disney Area.  There, you'll find shops and restaurants (even movie theaters) which will also enable you spend several hours enjoying the surroundings, with nary a ticket activated!

I hope this gives you a hint as to all of the many activities in store for you before you even step foot in a park!  Please send me more specifics about the ages and interests of those in your party, if you're on the Dining Plan, etc., should you like a little more specific information geared toward your interests.  I'd love to help!
