We are arriving late afternoon on April 19. Our plan is to walk around Downtown Disney and go see Fantasmic. Do we need to use a park ticket for that? If so, will that consider the 1 tckt used. We are purchasing a 3 days/hopper opt.

Hi again Jan!  It sounds like you have a great plan for your first day! It is our family tradition to start each vacation by seeing Fantasmic on our first night in Disney.

Yes, you will have to use one of your park tickets in order to enter Hollywood Studios to see Fantasmic. However, one of the great things about Disney tickets is that you can add extra days for only a few dollars. The current price difference between a 3-day and 4-day ticket for adults is seven dollars per ticket, and for kids age 3-9, the price difference is five dollars per ticket.

If you plan to see Fantasmic, but still want to visit other parks for the next three days, you will need to add a day to your tickets. Otherwise, you will only have two admissions left. If you plan to arrive at Hollywood Studios and enjoy a ride or two before watching Fantasmic, it would be worth the extra few dollars to add a day to your tickets.

    I hope this helps!
