Hi there! We are arriving on the last day of marathon weekend- January 12, 2025. Our plane lands at MCO at 9:15am and we are staying at Wilderness Lodge. We plan on using Mears for transportation. Will roads to the lodge be closed or can we still come in?

    Hi Beth,

It is lovely to see you dropping by planDisney with a question!

How exciting to see that your trip is booked and it seems that you have transportation to the resort hotel confirmed. You are correct in noting that there could still be re-routing of traffic at the time you arrive. Having said that, if you book that shuttle service, they should be able to drop you off at your resort hotel. Fortunately, MEARS does have a contact number, so I suggest that you call them to be sure. Although we have not used them during a runDisney race weekend, I have used them several times and have been dropped off and picked up as scheduled!

With the race crowds still in town when you arrive, I do suggest that you strategize your park visits and activities. Since you are staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, take advantage of Early Theme Park Entry for Disney Resort Hotel Guests. And, as a guest of Disney's Wilderness Lodge, you will also get access to Extended Evening Theme Park Hours! Perhaps the best news is that you should check out the Water Park Benefit for 2025 Resort Guests

Beth, I am sending a wish to the Evening Star in the spirit of Tiana trusting that your travels will be safe and your visit magical. Amidst all of the fun at the theme parks, remember to enjoy your resort hotel. Disney's Wilderness Lodge is gorgeous with great dining and activities. I recommend a reservation at Storybook Dining at Artist Point with Snow White. When my girls and I last dined there, we had a table by a window with a beautiful view and the characters were wonderful!

    Magic and memories,
    Donyell
