    We will be arriving on June 12th . We are staying at the Pop Century Resort. That evening we are planning on going to Downtown Disney. We also would like to ride the monorail. How do we go about this? It's our first visit to Disney. Thanks for your help!

    We love riding the monorail on our first evening at Walt Disney World!

    I would suggest taking a bus from the Pop Century Resort to the Magic Kingdom. Hop on the monorail for a full-circuit tour. There will be stops at the Contemporary, Transportation and Ticket Center, Polynesian and Grand Floridian. Disembark at the Grand Floridian. Be sure to board the Resort Monorail rather than the Express. The Express just ushers guests between the Transportation and Ticket Center (parking lot) and the Magic Kingdom.

    At the Grand Floridian, proceed to the first floor and exit out the front doors where you will find the Bus Depot. Take a bus to Downtown Disney. After Downtown Disney, bus back to the Pop Century Resort.

    Note: if you were to return to the Magic Kingdom on the monorail, a bus does  not go directly between theme parks and Downtown Disney. If you forget to disembark at the Grand Floridian, ride or walk over to the Contemporary and take a bus from there to Downtown Disney.
