    We are arriving on June 2nd at the new Art of Animation Resort for our 7-day stay. I heard that the opening ceremony is on 5/31 . Will there still be some activities celebrating the resort's grand opening still going on that weekend when we arrive?

    Congratulations on your visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!

     

    You are going to LOVE the amazingly themed Disney's Art of Animation Resort! I recently had the opportunity to tour the Finding Nemo Family Suites there and I can tell you they are FABULOUS! These have three separate sleeping areas, including a master bedroom with queen bed, sleeper sofa and a convertible table-bed. Wait until you see the art work on that table-bed's headboard! Family Suites also have two full bathrooms and a kitchenette area. All of it will make you feel as a character in your favorite Disney movie!

     

    It's likely that you will be able to experience some special activities following the Grand Opening Ceremonies. I would recommend keeping an eye on the Disney Parks Blog as it gets closer to your arrival date. You never know what kind of Pixie Dusted surprises will be waiting for you and your family at Disney's newest Resort Hotel! Please let me know if I can answer any other questions for you.
