We are arriving June 19th in the evening, staying at Port Orleans Riverside and have 830 am fast passes for Expedition Everest at AK. What time should we leave the resort to get there and what is the transportation schedule, and where is departure?

    Hi Lori,

You've chosen my favorite moderate resort for your stay! My family loves the relaxed Southern feel of the grounds and the resort's central location. (Make sure you spend a little time in one of the shady hammocks scattered throughout the resort).

Buses from Port Orleans Riverside begin about an hour before the parks open and arrive about every 20 minutes. There are four bus stops encircling the resort, conveniently located to each area. Regardless of where we are staying, my family usually walks to the front of the resort so that we can grab a cup of coffee and a muffin for breakfast at Riverside Mill Food Court before we head out.

The bus stop in front of the main lobby is normally the last stop before the bus departs the resort. From Port Orleans Riverside, it takes about 20 minutes to reach Animal Kingdom.

I would give myself an hour to get from the bus stop to the queue for Expedition Everest. That allows for a 20-minute wait for a bus, travel and the time to pass through the security check and entrance to Animal Kingdom. Expedition Everest is about a 10-minute walk from the entrance.

Please don't feel rushed! An 8:30 a.m. FastPass+ allows you access to the expedited queue from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. So relax and enjoy the trip.

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Lori. Please let us know if we can help in any other way. Enjoy!
