We are arriving on January 12 and have a one day park hopper pass. Can we go to any other park at 2:00 or do we have to choose prior to arriving?

    Hello Lorie,

Only a couple more sleeps until your magical vacation. You must be so excited!

Although things are a little different at Walt Disney World this year, with the exception of having to wait until 2:00 p.m. to hop to another park, the Park Hopper Option hasn't changed too much since it was brought back last year. While you have to make a reservation for the first park you go to, at 2:00 p.m., you can hop to ANY park. You could even go to all four parks on the same day if you were REALLY adventurous.

The only time you might not be able to get into the second park of your choice would be during extremely busy days (think Christmas and New Year's Day) when parks were filled to capacity.

Your Park Hopper option will come in handy for taking in the art, performances, and delicious food at EPCOT International Festival of the Arts, beginning January 14. There are some fun photo ops, interactive exhibits, amazing art (including chalk art), musical performances, and kiosks with delicious treats. So if your park reservations for EPCOT fall on your arrival day or on the 13, you can still use your Park Hopper on another day to check out the fun.

Hope this helps. Thanks for stopping by planDisney!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
