We will be arriving at Hollywood Studios around 5 pm on NYE. With this late arrival and the park being open until midnight, does it make sense to purchase Genie+? I know the parks normally get less crowded later - is this true on NYE historically?

Hi Carrie, thank you for stopping by planDisney with your question about your New Year's Eve plans.

Ringing in New Year’s Eve at the Walt Disney World Resort is on my bucket list and I hope you are excited and ready to rock and roll. Disney’s Hollywood Studios is open until 12:00 a.m. If you have Park Pass Reservations for this day I would recommend getting to the park as soon as possible. Historically New Year’s Eve is a popular day to visit and the park may reach capacity at all 3 parks that are open to ring in 2024. EPCOT and Magic Kingdom Park are open until 1 a.m. and the party will be going on past midnight at these parks. Disney Genie+ Service usually allows for 2-3 attractions per day and I usually recommend it. If you are planning to arrive after 5 p.m. you may want to wait to see what the return times are like about an hour before you arrive to see if it is worth purchasing it.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios has some of my favorites when it comes to table-service meals. 50’s Primetime Café has a home-style type meal and it has the feeling of a family gathering. It feels like walking into your Mom’s kitchen and all the decor is there for you to take in. Don’t forget to mind your manners or one of your family members might call you out on it.

Have a great time in a couple of weeks and make sure you have an amazing time. If have any other questions or need any tips for planning revisit us at planDisney.com

    Have a magical day,

    Jeremy A.
