We're arriving with 2 grandchildren (5 yrs and 9 mo) the afternoon of 7/4. Where do you recommend taking the children to see fireworks without paying for admission to a park?

My first choice would be Disney's Boardwalk Inn resort.  My family visits this area during every trip not only to see fireworks, but also because the Boardwalk hosts a wide array of entertainment options that are sure to please.  We've enjoyed watching magicians, jugglers and musicians perform for visitors.  They also have artists who can draw caricatures and surrey bikes available for rent.  Of course, you could also stop in at the Boardwalk bakery for a special treat while you're nearby!

Disney's Polynesian is another popular location from which to view fireworks outside of the park.  They have a lovely white-sand beach area ideal for viewing.  Have a magical trip!

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
