Arriving 1/29/17 and I have focused on the rides when planning our days and FP because my will be 5 year old is a ride fanatic. Plan on 2 days at MK 1 day at the other parks. I want to do at least a few character/shows/parades. What are the can't miss?

    Hello, Ashley!

While I love riding attractions that zoom, drop, whirl and turn me about, I also like to see the fantastic shows and parades Walt Disney World Resort offers.

Let me start by saying no visit is complete without a picture with Mickey Mouse! Consider making a character dining reservation at Chef Mickey's or The Garden Grill where you can get your bellies full and meet a few favorite characters. Second, plan to see the parades at the Magic Kingdom. Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade and Main Street Electrical Parade costumes and floats are magical. The shows! Disney's Hollywood Studios is the place to find all things Star Wars, as well as to see Beauty and the Beast-Live on Stage and Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular! My favorite show is Fantastic! as there is nothing like seeing Mickey Mouse battle evil villains. Lastly, the new nighttime offerings at Disney's Animal Kingdom that makes this park come to life after the sun goes down.

I hope this helps! Please let us know if you have additional questions!
