We will be arriving February 4th and will be on the Deluxe Dining Plan. In a previous question, I read that the 2016 Deluxe Dining Plan treated the children and adult credits equally. Is this still the case of the 2017 Deluxe Dining Plan?

    Greetings John,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I am happy to see you have chosen the Deluxe Dining Plan for your next visit. Dining plans are a wonderful addition to a Magic Your Way Vacation Package.

For the Deluxe Dining Plan, Guests ages 3-9 must order from a children’s menu where available, so children’s entitlements cannot be used by Guests 10 and older. The first time I used the Disney Dining Plan I shared some meals with my 5-year-old daughter hoping to save her table-service entitlements for signature dining experiences, only to find out that was not possible. You may still share your meals with your children, but then you will have those extra children's entitlements in the end, and this is exactly what happened to my family.

Since we are talking about dining, have you heard about the brand new restaurant at Disney Springs? Paddlefish is scheduled to open on February 4, bringing even more excitement to the already amazing dining experiences at Disney Springs. The iconic paddleboat located on site has been reimagined to house this restaurant that will feature a seafood-centric menu, and will be open daily for lunch and dinner. They will also offer brunch on Sundays. I really hope you have the chance to be one of the first Guests to try it.

It has been a pleasure answering your question. Please come back for another visit, we are delighted to help.

    Best magical wishes,
    Thiana
