Hey there, Amy. Welcome to
planDisney. Thanks for dropping by to chit-chat about your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation.
Amy, I think it is fabulous that you are visiting
Walt Disney World next February. There is no better way to kick off a new year than with a trip to the most magical place on earth. So exciting!
I think you'll be happy to know that the information that you read about your son's age is correct. The age he is when you check in is the age that he'll be considered for the duration of the trip. This means he is a very special Guest of my pal, Mickey Mouse, and won't be required to have valid theme park admission when entering a
Walt Disney World Theme Park. When you go to scan yourself into the theme park you happen to be visiting, you'll just take him in right alongside you.
When making your advanced dining reservations, even though he doesn't need a theme park ticket, be sure to include him in the total number of people dining. This will greatly help Cast Members prepare for your arrival at the restaurants that you'll be dining at.
A birthday celebrated at Walt Disney World is certainly the most magical of birthdays that there is, Amy. I am so excited for you and your son. Be sure to grab him a complimentary Happy Birthday button when you arrive for your vacation. You can get this at the front desk of your hotel or any Guest Relations windows throughout the theme parks. He'll receive many happy birthday wishes from Cast Members and Guests alike. It really makes for such a special keepsake.
If you have any other questions about this, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm happy to help.
Have a great week!
Jackie H.
