We are arriving Feb 17-21. So excited. What is the best way to get from Chef Mickey at breakfast at 7:05 to Animal Kingdom after. It is extended hours too at 8 am. Will we make it for any of the hour extended time? Does the monorail go there?

    Hi Wendy!

Chef Mickey's is a very lively & exciting way to start your morning! You'll have a blast!

Once you've finished your delicious breakfast and all of Mickey's friends have visited your table for photos & autographs, take the escalators or elevator down to the first floor of the Contemporary Resort. Upon exiting the lobby, take a right and head up to the bus depot area. There you will find direct bus transportation to Disney's Animal Kingdom. You may even make it there for some of the morning Extra Magic Hour - but that depends on how quickly your family eats!

The monorail system does not service Disney's Animal Kingdom Park. I'd love any extra excuses to ride more often on Walt Disney World's "highway in the sky" but for now, I'll have to keep dreaming about that! Monorails currently service the Magic Kingdom & Epcot via the Transportation & Ticket Center, as well as the 3 Deluxe Resorts around the Seven Seas Lagoon.

Please visit us again at the Moms Panel if you have any more questions we can help you with in the planning of your stay.

Hope you have a Magical vacation, a special time with Mickey & his pals and a WILD time at Animal Kingdom!
