Arriving Feb. 19th to celebrate my daughter's 11th birthday!! I made reservations for breakfast at Cape May Cafe...since it will be too early for cake, any ideas on how to make her breakfast special? Where is the best location to watch parade/fireworks?

    Hi Ganell,

You may think it's too early for cake, but I've been to several character breakfasts celebrating my children's various birthdays.  The table is usually sprinkled with confetti.  She'll also probably receive a cupcake at the end of the meal along with a card signed by all of the characters at the restaurant.  It's a fun touch, and whether your daughter actually feels like eating the cake or not, she'll still enjoy it.

Also, make sure you pick up a birthday button for her to wear.  Even if you haven't gone to a park, the cast members at the resort check-in desk usually have a stash to give to guests celebrating.

Is there something that she would want/need for the park, maybe Mickey ears, an autograph book & pen, or a piece of jewelry that she could wear.  Consider bringing a small, wrapped gift to breakfast for her to open at the table.

As far as where to watch fireworks/parades.  Are you heading to Magic Kingdom for the day or another park.  In Magic Kingdom, my favorite spot for fireworks is right in the middle of Main Street USA!  I like watching the parade near Hall of Presidents.  It's usually easy to get a good spot in that area.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!
