We are arriving the end of Jan. 2014. What would be fun to do at the parks for girls ages 9 and 16 at that time? Anything out of the parks?

Sounds like you are planning a wonderful trip to the Happiest Place on Earth in 2014!  I would definitely take some time to explore the Walt Disney World website before you go.  There are so many experiences they will enjoy, too many to mention here!   On the website, you can explore those things you know your girls would be interested in doing.  Are they thrill seekers, or do they prefer to take it slow?

All four major parks have fabulous attractions which I'm sure will appeal to the girls.   Outside of the parks, consider a visit to Senses Spa at the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.  There is a fabulous manicure/pedicure room where moms and girls can get pampered together!  Your 9 year old might really enjoy Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in Magic Kingdom Park or Downtown Disney, and your older girl might really enjoy experiencing her princess transformation as well.  While in Downtown Disney, how about a little shopping?  Whether at Disney Design-A-Tee or the hip Tren-D, every girl loves a little shopping!

No matter what, you simply must spend time at New Fantasyland in Magic Kingdom Park.  Girls of all ages will enjoy the fantasy and wonder here.  Be sure to dine at Be Our Guest.  You'll not want to miss it, trust me!

Please ask me any additional planning questions you might have regarding your upcoming trip.  I'm happy to help!

Until then, I wish you a magical vacation!
