Hello! We will be arriving early on the morning of our checkin and wanted to head straight to animal kingdom. Do resort guests get to park free at the parks? Or should we add in extra time to go and park at our resort to then get on Disney transport?

    Morgan,

Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!

If you are parking a car at your resort hotel you do have a daily parking charge that you will pay. But the great news is that standard theme park parking is then included for you as a registered guest of a Disney Resort hotel! So you can go straight to the park on your arrival day, as long as you have completed the online check-in via My Disney Experience.

So, your adventure at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park can be the start of your day. However, if you arrive early enough that you have time to swing by your resort hotel first, you can also drop your bags off at the Bell Services desk for them to hold. I would prefer not to leave my luggage in a hot car all day long and letting them hold onto our bags can keep our toiletries and other items from baking in the Orlando sun all day long. When you return to your resort at the end of the day, you just gather those bags and head off to your home in the magic!

Please feel free to write me back directly if you have any follow-up questions.

    Have a Magical Vacation!
