Hi there, Matt! Thank you so much for stopping by planDisney. Your trip to the
Disneyland Resort will be here before you know it - have you started your official countdown, yet?
It sounds like you'll be staying in a
Disneyland Resort Hotel and are wanting to make sure you can drop your stuff off before your check-in time to enjoy the day in the parks. I have good news for you: you absolutely can valet or self-park your vehicle, drop your bags off at Bell Services, and enjoy
Early Entry in whichever park you made a theme park reservation for on that first day of your trip (make sure to visit the
Theme Park Reservations page if you have not already made those park reservations).
I would recommend going to the front desk for the check-in process (even if you do early check-in through the
Disneyland Mobile App) just to make sure you have everything you need for Early Entry.
My family and I just did this same thing at the
Grand Californian Hotel & Spa during the holidays! We have two young kiddos, so we typically try to make the drive from sunny Arizona over to Anaheim and stay in the area that first night then make the transfer to a Disneyland Resort Hotel early the next morning. We self-park our vehicle at the hotel, drop our bags at Bell Services, and usually try to start with Disneyland Park - unless our son is feeling extra impatient about seeing Spider-Man swoop across the rooftops in
Avenger's Campus!
There will be so many fun things to see and do during your trip, Matt! The
Disney100 Celebration kicks off on January 27, which includes the new
Mickey & Minnie Runaway Railway attraction. This attraction is already open at the
Walt Disney World Resort, and my planDisney panelist friends on the East Coast say it is amazing! I'm hoping you'll get a chance to get one or two (or 10!) rides in on your trip.
In the meantime, please feel free to
write me back directly if you have any other follow-up questions. Thank you again for stopping by planDisney, Matt!
Have a Magical Day,
Greg
