Hi there Anne, and welcome back to planDisney!
How exciting that you will be staying at one of my favorite hotels, the
Disneyland Hotel! I love the nostalgic and charming décor, it's absolutely magical. There are certain guest rooms that may have a partial view of the fireworks, such as the Premium Downtown Disney View. If you are staying in a room with Club-Level Service, you can also view the fireworks from the E-ticket Club in the Adventure Tower. You could also walk through the Downtown Disney District towards the Esplanade between the entrance of both theme parks to catch the fireworks as well. Please note that the views are not guaranteed, and that the fireworks may be canceled due to weather.
There are plenty of activities to enjoy at the Disneyland Hotel, and the
pools and waterslides are the best on property in my opinion! There are two retro-themed pools for guests to enjoy, and two waterslides that feature replicas of the original Monorail trains. You can also stop by the Guest Services Desk located in each hotel lobby for a schedule of current guest activities taking place at the hotel.
Goofy's Kitchen located at the Disneyland Hotel is one of our favorite Character Dining experiences, and it's available for dinner as well! The buffet has a great selection with something for everyone, and you really cannot beat the energy of dancing with some of your favorite Disney pals!
I'd also recommend checking out the
Downtown Disney District located right next to the Disneyland Hotel, which has great shopping and dining options. We love to explore and shop on our non-park days, the
World of Disney Store has every kind of souvenir you could ever want, and then you could easily bring back your souvenirs to your hotel and not have to carry them with you around the parks! We love to dine at
Naples Ristorante e Bar for their delicious pepperoni pizza, and our trip to the Downtown Disney District wouldn't be complete without a stop at
Salt & Straw for an ice cream cone, my favorite is the Salted Malted Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, yum!
Best of luck with your planning for your upcoming trip Anne. If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to
come back and ask!
Have a magical day!
Melissa
