Welcome Back, Laura!
It's so good to see your name pop back up, asking another fantastic
Disneyland Resort vacation planning question. Thank you for continuing to reach out to us hEAR! This is a great question and an even better plan. I fully support fitting as much magic as possible into all of your Disney Days, even if it isn't exactly theme park fun. There are so many
shops and
dining experiences and entertainment, you can almost have an entire day of fun just in the Downtown Disney District!
The answer to your question is that you're on the right track and headed in the correct direction. However, when looking at the map you're going to take a different, well-marked-in-person, not-nEAR-as-many-moving-cars, sidewalk.
The Simba lot is just south of and also directly behind
Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel. Instead of taking the sidewalk that is in front/just east of the Paradise Pier Hotel, you're going to sort of go behind/west of it,
towards the traffic circle.
You're going to
keep going north on the sidewalk that stems from the traffic circle until you reach the three-story-tall Mickey Fantasia Hat outside
The Disneyland Hotel and Bibbidi Bobbidi boo, you'll be at the
western-most point of the
Downtown Disney District, which has its own security check. From here you'll start the fun with some food trucks and even a stage where there's always something going on. As you keep walking east, you'll actually be on a pedestrian bridge between the
Lego store and Splitsville that goes over Disneyland Drive, safe from the busyness below.
It sounds kind of daunting but the whole walk is less than .9 of a mile to get from the Simba lot to the main Esplanade area between the
Disneyland Park and
Disney California Theme Park entrances. Or, if you're a time-distance kind of Mouseketeer, it's maybe a 10-minute walk from the Simba lot to the entrance of the security check, if that.
I hope that this helped to clEAR up your question, Laura, and better plan your upcoming Disneyland days! Be sure to follow the
official planDisney Instagram account. We even just launched the
brand new planDisney Podcast, which can be both listened to and
watched! Thank you again for visiting. And if you have any more Disneyland Resort vacation planning questions, We're All Ears!
