We are going to be arriving DW on the 23rd. My daughters 11th birthday is on the 24th. We have reserved a dinner at Chef Mickey's and I was wanting to get her a cake or something for her special day? Can they personalize a cake at the restaurant?

    Hi Natasha,

Dinner at Chef Mickey's is an excellent way to mark a birthday.

You have two options for arranging a birthday cake at Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary Resort and most other Disney table service restaurant.

All of the table service restaurants except Victoria & Albert's keep a supply of 6-inch chocolate or vanilla cakes on hand. You can just let the host or hostess know then you check in that you would like one brought out for dessert. The $21 cakes aren't personalized.

If you would like to order a custom, personalized cake, you can call the cake hotline at (407) 827-2253 at least 48 hours in advance. The hotline takes orders from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. They deliver your cake to the  restaurant.

Make sure your daughter gets her free Happy Birthday button at Guest Services at one of the theme parks or resort hotels. She can wear it during your entire visit and garner lots of good wishes -- and occasional special treats from cast members.

Please let me know if I can answer other questions for you. Enjoy your celebration and your entire visit!
